Step 1: Take a healthy sweet potato and insert several toothpicks around its sides. Suspend it over a glass of clean water, keeping the bottom portion in contact with the water.
Step 2: Place the glass in a warm, bright location. After some time, roots will begin developing in the water and new green shoots will emerge from the sweet potato.
Step 3: Once the shoots and roots are well developed, prepare a large, deep container with loose, nutrient-rich, well-draining soil.
Step 4: Transfer the sprouted sweet potato into the soil. Cover the rooted section while leaving the growing shoots and leaves above the surface.
Step 5: Water regularly and place the container in a sunny location. Allow the vines to continue growing and spreading.
Step 6: When the plant reaches maturity and the foliage begins to decline, carefully loosen the soil around the plant.
Step 7: Gently lift the plant from the soil to harvest the sweet potatoes growing underneath. 🍠🌿
